This exciting development will facilitate device trials conducted at Grady by Emory investigators. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) in response to the declared public health emergency issued by the Secretary, HHS, for the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). This emergency FOA provides an expedited funding mechanism as part of the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics-Radical (RADx-rad) initiative. Priority is given to research that improves our understanding of the severe consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, including its economic disruptions, and the mass protests to combat systemic racism and racial inequality in policing and other institutions. The Fellowship will be held online and is open to faculty from all schools affiliated with an NIH-funded CFAR. Applicants from HBCUs and HSIs are particularly encouraged to apply.
