Health Innovation Commercialization Series: IP 201: Patentability, Freedom to Operate, Prior Art & Patent Strategies-January 16
If you’re curious how to protect your invention and better understand available resources on campus, join the Coulter Translational Fund and the Georgia CTSA to learn the basics of intellectual property, disclosures, and patent filing. Representatives from both Georgia Tech and Emory Technology Transfer Offices will be available to answer your questions as well as discuss policies and procedures specific to each campus.
The Coulter Commercialization Series & Georgia CTSA Health Innovation Commercialization Series was created to provide commercialization guidance to the university research community. The program is free and open to Georgia Tech and Emory University faculty, staff, graduate students, post-doc, residents, and fellows.
We cover topics on how to take your technology from the lab to commercial success and explore market opportunities surrounding entrepreneurial and innovative ideas. Panel discussions are led by industry experts that share their insights and lessons learned through first-hand experience.

Interested in receiving a Georgia CTSA Health Innovation Commercialization Academy Certificate? Requirements:
- Attend at least 7 sessions or 6 sessions plus 1 Metro Atlanta Chamber Entrepreneurship and Innovation event or similar event hosted by Georgia Bio
- Attend a project/technology review meeting with a representative from Georgia CTSA or Coulter
