Noise-Induced Synaptopathy in the Human Auditory System (R01)-Due May 24

This FOA seeks applications focused on determining if noise-induced cochlear synaptopathy occurs in humans. Studies may include, but are not limited to, diagnosis/detection and determination of functional consequences of such noise-induced damage. NCATS' Pre-Clinical Programs Now Accepting Collaborative Proposals

NCATS is now accepting proposals on a rolling basis to collaborate with Bridging Interventional Development Gaps (BrIDGs) and Therapeutics for Rare and Neglected Diseases (TRND) program scientists. BrIDGs program scientists collaborate with researchers to advance candidate therapeutics for both common and rare diseases into clinical testing. Selected researchers partner with NCATS experts to generate pre-clinical data and clinical-grade material through government contracts to use in Investigational New Drug (IND) applications to regulatory agencies, such as the FDA. In general, BrIDGs staff provide synthesis, formulation, pharmacokinetic and toxicology expertise and resources to its collaborators.
