Georgia CTSA/Regenerative Engineering and Medicine (REM) Pilot Grants Award Recipients
Georgia CTSA is pleased to announce Pilot Grant recipients in Round #146 Georgia CTSA/REM Program. The Regenerative Engineering and Medicine (REM) Center is a partnership with Georgia Tech, Emory, and UGA that supports inter-institutional collaborations in research leading in the area of Regenerative Medicine. The center awards seed grants to groups with at least 2 of the 3 institutions, fostering collaborations leading to extramural funding.

Mandatory SciENcv Use for NIH Biosketch - Beginning January 25
NIH will implement the Biographical Sketch Common Form and the Current and Pending (Other) Support Common Form for application submissions beginning January 25. You MUST use SciENcv to complete these forms to produce digitally certified PDFs for use in application submissions. All senior/key personnel listed on an application must have an ORCID iD linked to their eRA Commons Personal Profile. ENPRC Pilot Research Proposals - Due February 23
The Emory National Primate Research Center is accepting proposals for its 2026 Pilot Research Program, offering up to $70,000 in direct costs for one- or two-year projects. Eligible investigators must propose pilot-scale work involving nonhuman primate research or related approaches, including NAMs. Proposals are due February 23, 2026, by 5 PM EST. Awards begin as early as May 1, 2026.

NIH Common Fund Launches the Complement-ARIE Reduction to Practice Prize - Phase I Due: March 1
The NIH Common Fund has teamed up with NASA’s Tournament Lab to launch the Reduction to Practice Challenge, a shared $7M total prize competition inviting innovative New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) solutions that demonstrate integrated, human-based platforms in a practical form within three years. The challenge includes three phases: proof of concept and feasibility studies, prototype development with milestone achievements, and prototype delivery for independent validation.

The Autoimmunity, Rasmussen’s, Inflammation & Status Epilepticus research Network (ARISEN) is accepting applications for two pilot funding opportunities: a general Pilot Research Grant and an Early-Stage Investigator Research Grant, supporting innovative rare disease research aligned with the ARISEN mission. Georgia CTSA’s Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) program is accepting proposals to support novel methodological research in biostatistics, epidemiology and related areas to advance clinical and translational research. The TL1 Program provides innovative didactic and mentored clinical and translational research (CTR) training to individuals interested in careers that encompass CTR and clinical and translational science (CTS). The Gulf Research Program Science Policy Fellowship offers scientists and engineers a one-year placement with federal, state, local, or non-governmental agencies in the Gulf region to apply scientific expertise in real-world policy settings. Fellows engage in activities such as policy development, evaluation, restoration planning, grants management, and stakeholder outreach, with annual stipends ranging from $63,800 to $69,300 depending on degree status. The Robert A. Winn Excellence in Clinical Trials: Career Development Award (Winn CDA) for early-stage investigator physicians is accepting applications for scholars. $120K/year for 2 years covers a portion of the scholar’s salary to engage in training and research. This program supports career development of early-career investigator-physicians through structured education and mentorship on community-oriented clinical trial design and implementation. The 18th annual Summer Institute for Statistics and Modeling in Infectious Diseases (SISMID) will take place online and in person at Emory University Rollins School of Public Health in June–July 2026. Scholarships, including the Halloran Scholarship, are available for eligible graduate students and postdoctoral scholars and may cover registration for up to two modules and in-person lodging. Disability as Difference: Reducing Researcher Roadblocks
The Disability as Difference: Reducing Researcher Roadblocks (D3/R3) study, sponsored by the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research at Einstein and Montefiore, is moving toward its final phase to evaluate online learning about disabilities and research. You may be eligible to participate if you are a research team member (PI, Co-I, coordinator, research associate, etc.) and your current research focuses on adults and is not specifically focused on disabilities. Participation involves a fully online baseline session (~60 min) with learning modules and brief pre- and post-surveys, plus a short follow-up survey (~15 min) ~3 weeks later.
