More Than a Consultation: Georgia CTSA BERD Experts Help Researchers Turn Ideas into Impact
"This study confirmed that BERD provides a valuable resource to the clinical and translational science community," said John Hanfelt, PhD, Director of the Georgia CTSA BERD program. A Georgia CTSA publication highlights how biostatistics, epidemiology, and research design consultations strengthen studies, grant applications, analyses, and publications. Findings from 62 consultations showed high satisfaction and value of continued collaboration.

Georgia CTSA BERD Pilot Grants Award Recipients
Congratulations to recipients funded in Round #147 Georgia CTSA Biostatistics, Epidemiology & Research Design. Preference was given to proposals with a focus on translational and clinical research or address a translational research question which could provide innovative approaches and methodological insights generalizable to other projects/diseases. The Pilot Grants program is a catalyst for transformation of clinical and translational science.

Apply for the Emory Training Program in Translational Research to End the HIV Epidemic, an NIH-funded T32 postdoctoral training opportunity for fellows pursuing careers in translational HIV research. Tuition awards are not available, but faculty and postdocs at Emory may be eligible for the Emory Courtesy Scholarship if employed for at least one year.
