Georgia CTSA Innovation Catalyst Leader Helps Evaluate New Devices to Improve Postpartum Maternal Health and Health Equity
“Biotech companies that participated in the challenge were very impressive,” says Morgan Greenleaf, office of Assoc. Dean of Innovation, Emory SOM. “Like the smartphone app that estimates hemoglobin levels based on image of a user’s nail beds, enabling physicians to track the data in a non-invasive way. It’s this type of biomedical device that enables better clinical decision making by gathering data remotely where hospital access is limited.”

The HERCULES Exposome Research Center will soon be accepting applications for its 2025-2026 Pilot Project Program, offering six awards of $30,000 for research in environmental health sciences. Request for Collaborators on Traumatic Brain Injury Study
This is a request for collaboration on the research study: Propranolol TO Survive Traumatic Brain Injury, PROTOS-TBI, trial. Volunteers Needed for Veterans' Health Research Veterans PREVAIL Study
Emory University is seeking U.S. military veterans for the Veterans PREVAIL study, exploring the connection between military service exposures and health outcomes. Eligible participants will complete memory and vascular health assessments, including a blood draw, ultrasound, and questionnaires. Participants will also wear a wristwatch to track sleep and movement for 30 days. The study involves one in-person visit lasting about 3 hours, and participants will be compensated $100.
