Highlights of the 2025 Southeast Regional Clinical and Translational Science Conference
Over 300 researchers & translational scientists across the Southeast presented the best new health-related preclinical, clinical, implementation, & population-based research. During the keynote presentation by Michael G. Kurilla, MD, PhD, Director, Division of Clinical Innovation, NCATS, he shared CTSA impact on policy, rare diseases, training the next generation of cutting-edge scientists and more including where translational science is headed.

Georgia CTSA Community Engagement Biennial Forum
Join the Georgia CTSA for the 2025 Community Engagement Biennial Forum on April 22 & 23 at Atlanta Technical College. This event will focus on collaborative approaches to community health, featuring keynote speakers Rep. Kim Schofield and Dr. Camara Jones. Attendees will engage in training, networking, discussions on AI in public health, and presentations on community-led research.

Georgia CTSA’s Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) program is accepting proposals for pilot grants of up to $20,000 to support innovative methodological research in clinical and translational science. NCATS invites applications for the Awards Supporting Cutting-Edge Technologies for Translational Science (ASCETTS) NOFO to foster investigator-initiated development of highly innovative technologies to address barriers, limitations, or bottlenecks in translational science – particularly for therapeutic development. The research proposed should be for the development of technology that can break new ground or extend present technology toward new directions or novel applications.

Georgia CTSA TL1 (T32-like) Clinical and Translational Research Training Grant - Postdoc Due March 17, Predoc Due March 28 (Extended Deadline)
The TL1 Program provides innovative didactic and mentored clinical and translational research (CTR) training to individuals interested in careers that encompass CTR and clinical and translational science (CTS). The program supports predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees (medical, PharmD, PhD students; resident, fellow physicians; PhD postdocs; and PharmD residents).

Phlebotomy 101 Training – March 27 & 28

Influential Mentoring Training Series — April 2
The Research Education Core at the Georgia CTSA is offering the Influential Mentoring Training Series, a monthly, hour-long interactive Zoom series for FACULTY ONLY from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on April 2. Led by Dr. Dawn Comeau, this series focuses on enhancing mentorship for trainees. Topics include assessing mentees’ understanding, using coaching approaches, evaluating mentorship, and adopting five practices for success. View Flyer.

ATLANTIS TL1/U2C: Pre and Postdoc – Apply by April 15
The ATLANTIS Program is accepting applications until April 15 for a start date of July 1, 2025. Pre- and postdoctoral trainees from Emory, MSM, and Georgia Tech engaged in research related or relevant to non-malignant nephrology, urology, and hematology are welcome to apply! Trainees pursuing basic laboratory, clinical, translational, informatics, and outcomes research projects are eligible for funding. The program will provide successful applicants with 2 years of research training support.

Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health is offering online workshops in Qualitative Research Methods (May 12-16) and Qualitative Data Analysis (May 19-23), each priced at $950 (students: $700).
