Innovative Research Shared During Health Services Research Day
Researchers across Georgia gathered at Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health for the 11th Annual Health Services Research (HSR) Day hosted by Georgia CTSA and Emory Health Services Research Center. This annual event provided a platform for researchers to connect and share cutting-edge research focused on ongoing quality, effectiveness, and value-based research activities through featured talks, panel discussions, poster presentations, and more.

Congratulations Georgia CTSA Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design Pilot Grants Award Recipients
Georgia CTSA is pleased to announce additional Pilot Grants recipients in Round #140, Georgia CTSA Biostatistics, Epidemiology & Research Design (BERD). Georgia CTSA’s BERD program solicited proposals to support novel methodological research in biostatistics, epidemiology, or health services research. Review criteria included quantitative methodological research to fill gaps, innovation, feasibility, and plans for dissemination and translation.

POCTRN Innovation Awards — Due June 6
Do you have a groundbreaking point-of-care technology ready for further development? The Point-of-Care Technology Research Network (POCTRN)) is pleased to announce six new innovation award opportunities from its centers. We are currently seeking applications from academic and industry applicants who have innovative point-of-care technologies in areas of chronic disease, infectious disease and disease prevention, such as cancer detection, heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders, STIs, emerging infectious disease in low-resource settings, and more. Awards up to $150,000, may also receive 12 months of in-kind support services.

Emory SOM P4 Fast Track Awards – Ongoing
Emory SOM in partnership with Winship, CHOA, Grady, and CFAR, invites applications for the P4 (Pivot, Proposal, and Planning Program) Fast Track Awards—a new funding mechanism supporting SOM faculty whose grants were recently terminated due to federal funding shifts. Awards of up to $100,000 (direct costs) are available for one year, with potential for renewal. Eligible PIs must propose a novel research pivot aligned with NIH priorities and have ≤$200K in other direct funding. Learn More.

NCATS invites applications for the Awards Supporting Cutting-Edge Technologies for Translational Science (ASCETTS) NOFO to foster investigator-initiated development of highly innovative technologies to address barriers, limitations, or bottlenecks in translational science – particularly for therapeutic development. The research proposed should be for the development of technology that can break new ground or extend present technology toward new directions or novel applications.

Phlebotomy 101 Training — May 29 & 30

Certificate Program in Translational Science (CPTS) — Deadline Extended: Apply by May 30
The Certificate Program in Translational Science (CPTS) is a formal 16-credit Emory Laney Graduate School program for trainees who seek to conduct research at interface between basic and translational science and clinical medicine. The CPTS enhances and transforms translational research training for predoctoral PhD students, postdoctoral fellows (PhD or MD) & junior faculty at Emory, MSM, Georgia Tech & UGA.
