Georgia CTSA Supports Airborne Infectious Disease Research at Emory Center for Transmission of Airborne Pathogens
Georgia CTSA Clinical Research Centers will play a key supporting role in advancing studies in the new Emory Center for Transmission of Airborne Pathogens unit by providing operational logistics and laboratory testing capabilities. Georgia CTSA helps enable safe, efficient, and rigorous studies to deepen understanding of airborne infectious diseases and accelerate development of strategies to reduce viral transmission and improve public health.

Georgia CTSA Investigators Elected to Association of American Physicians
Congratulations to Georgia CTSA Investigators Allan Levey, MD, PhD, Emory, and K.M. Venkat Narayan, MD, MSc, MBA, Emory, elected to Association of American Physicians (AAP). Founded in 1885, AAP is an honorary medical society for the advancement of scientific and practical medicine. Election to AAP is an honor extended to physicians with outstanding credentials in basic or translational biomedical research and limited to 70 persons each year.

Emory HIV Research Fellowships - Due June 22
Apply for the Emory Training Program in Translational Research to End the HIV Epidemic, an NIH-funded T32 postdoctoral training opportunity for fellows pursuing careers in translational HIV research. Eligible candidates must hold a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent terminal degree, be within five years of degree completion, and meet NIH citizenship requirements. Full applications are due June 22 at 11:59 PM ET.

Emory faculty, postdocs, and PhD students are welcome to enroll in the following fall semester courses via Zoom through the Laney Graduate School: MSCR 515 Scientific Communication for Clinical & Translational Science, MSCR 596 Advanced Data Management in R, and CPTS 500 Fundamentals of Epidemiology. Tuition awards are not available, but faculty and postdocs at Emory may be eligible for the Emory Courtesy Scholarship if employed for at least one year.
