Flourishing 5K: Celebrating a Georgia CTSA Publications Milestone
At the end of 2025, Georgia CTSA surpassed 5,000 publications supported since 2007, marking a major milestone in advancing clinical and translational research. “This reflects the impact of collaborative science, advancing public health and accelerating translational discovery across Georgia. This milestone highlights the Georgia CTSA’s role in bringing researchers together to drive meaningful, lasting progress,” notes Eric J. Nehl, PhD, Emory.

Georgia TB Reference Guide App Developed by Georgia CTSA's AppHatchery Provides Invaluable Resource for Clinical Care
“Georgia TB Reference Guide app is an invaluable resource for clinical care of people with TB. I use it regularly, particularly for the treatment regimens and dosing recommendations for latent TB infection,” remarks Daniel Graciaa, MD, Emory. This app responds to clinicians’ questions about TB infection, disease, and control. Doctors, nurses, and public health coordinators can download free Georgia TB Reference Guide on App Store or Google Play.

Georgia CTSA’s Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) program is accepting proposals to support novel methodological research in biostatistics, epidemiology and related areas to advance clinical and translational research. Fall 2026 Clinical and Translational Science Courses Available to Non-Degree Students
Emory faculty, postdocs, and PhD students are welcome to enroll in the following fall semester courses via Zoom through the Laney Graduate School: MSCR 515 Scientific Communication for Clinical & Translational Science, MSCR 596 Advanced Data Management in R, and CPTS 500 Fundamentals of Epidemiology. Tuition awards are not available, but faculty and postdocs at Emory may be eligible for the Emory Courtesy Scholarship if employed for at least one year. Apply by August 14.

The Robert A. Winn Excellence in Clinical Trials: Career Development Award (Winn CDA) for early-stage investigator physicians is accepting applications for scholars. $120K/year for 2 years covers a portion of the scholar’s salary to engage in training and research.
