National Academy of Medicine Awards David Rall Medal for Distinguished Leadership to Georgia CTSA Leader Linda McCauley
NAM honored Linda McCauley, PhD, RN, Georgia CTSA Translational Workforce Development Program Director and Dean, Emory School of Nursing, and Robert Phillips, Executive Director, American Board of Family Medicine, at the 2024 annual meeting. They were recognized for leading the National Academies consensus study committee that produced the report, Implementing High-Quality Primary Care: Rebuilding the Foundation of Health Care.

The HERCULES Exposome Research Center will soon be accepting applications for its 2025-2026 Pilot Project Program, offering six awards of $30,000 for research in environmental health sciences. Volunteers Needed for Veterans' Health Research Veterans PREVAIL Study
Emory University is seeking U.S. military veterans for the Veterans PREVAIL study, exploring the connection between military service exposures and health outcomes. Eligible participants will complete memory and vascular health assessments, including a blood draw, ultrasound, and questionnaires. Participants will also wear a wristwatch to track sleep and movement for 30 days. The study involves one in-person visit lasting about 3 hours, and participants will be compensated $100.
