ACTSI Awarded Five Year Renewal from NCATS

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) awarded $30.7 million over the next five years to the Atlanta Clinical & Translational Science Institute (ACTSI) for the renewal of its NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA). The ACTSI, led by Emory University, was originally established in 2007, along with primary academic partners Morehouse School of Medicine and Georgia Tech.

"CTSAs provide critical infrastructure needed to strengthen the entire spectrum of NIH-supported clinical and translational research, including cool tools for clinical study management and data capture," said Josephine P. Briggs, MD, acting director, Division of Clinical Innovation, NCATS. "NCATS looks forward to the continued evolution of this national program aimed at re-engineering the translational research pipeline."
