Tridandapani was awarded the Figley Fellowship and received the New Investigator Award from the Radiology Research Alliance. He also served as the Associate Scientific Advisor for Science Translational Medicine and 12 of his Editor's Choice articles appeared in the journal.

Tridandapani was awarded the Healthcare Innovation Seed Grant for Tagging Medical Data Streams with Patient Photographs to Decrease Patient Misidentification Errors. The program funds multi-investigator, multi-disciplinary teams examining healthcare services and clinical effectiveness. The awards support innovative approaches that address issues of healthcare quality, costs, and/or access.
