Ray Dingledine, PhD, Professor, and Thota Ganesh, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology, Emory University School of Medicine, aim to develop the first preventative treatment for cognitive deficits related to epilepsy by researching EP2 receptor modulation after seizures. Although anti-seizure drugs are available, no approved drugs mitigate either the cognition problems or progression of the disease.
