Study for New Type 1 Diabetes Treatment Co-Led by Georgia CTSA Principal Investigator

Georgia CTSA Principal Investigator Andrés J. García, PhD, led a team of researchers who are moving a hopeful treatment for type 1 diabetes closer to the clinic. The results of their study using microgels have been published in Science Advances. Dr. García is the Petit Chair and Executive Director of Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience and Regents' Professor in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech.
