Georgia CTSA Supported Team Wins ACC InVenture Prize with Carotid Artery Closure Device

Team carSEAL won first place at the ACC InVenture Prize. carSEAL is a vascular closure device that can give surgeons the confidence to safely and effectively close the common carotid artery following endovascular procedures. The device could help doctors significantly cut the time for a critical clot-busting procedure for stroke patients. This Georgia CTSA-supported team also won Best Overall Project at Georgia Tech’s Fall Capstone Design Expo.
