Georgia CTSA CPTS graduate Christina Gavegnano, PhD, Assistant Professor, Emory, has developed two anti-inflammatory medicines that help save lives. On the same day in 2020 that the FDA granted emergency use of her second drug for the treatment of severe COVID-19, Gavegnano used her royalties to create an undergraduate drug discovery lab. In her Emory Convocation speech, she encouraged the Class of 2028 to start their own remarkable trajectories.
