Georgia CTSA Clinical Research Centers Director Spearheads New American Society for Microbiology Health Scientific Unit
The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) announced the launch of the ASM Health Scientific Unit to address critical health issues through microbial science. The unit will be spearheaded by Scientific Director Dev Mittar, PhD, and ASM Health Chair, Colleen Kraft, MD, Emory. They will lead the unit alongside an interim Scientific Advisory Council comprising 14 experts representing diverse sub-disciplines of health-related microbiology.
