Georgia CTSA Offers Clinical Research Coordinator Core Competency Series

online course

Georgia CTSA's Translational Workforce Development program is pleased to announce that the CRC Core Competency Series, created by our collaborating partners at the University of Florida CTSI, is available to the public. The series is a ten-course, self-paced online educational program that follows the Joint Task Force for Clinical Trial Competency domains in sequence. It was designed for new clinical research professionals who are building the foundational knowledge required to conduct clinical trials at an academic health center.

Over the course of the series, learners are instructed on and encouraged to pursue more deeply scientific concepts and research design, ethical and participant safety considerations, regulatory requirements, study site operations and Good Clinical Practice, study and site management, data management and informatics, leadership and professionalism, and communication and teamwork. Each of these free, ANCC-accredited courses awards its own certificate, and the full series totals 7.75 CNE contact hours.

The series is now available on Georgia CTSA's Translational Workforce Development (TWD) Catalog. Registered users can also access the courses via the eMPACT Career Navigation, Training & Advancement site.
