Menu option of selected courses

The menu option of selected courses requires at least the following 5 core courses (if not already completed as part of prior completion of the MSCR or CPTS) :

• MSCR 761 – Introduction to Clinical & Translational Science (2 credits)
• MSCR 591 – Community Engagement in Clinical & Translational Science (1 credit)
• MSCR 592 – Clinical & Translational Science Colloquium (1 credit)
• MSCR 593 – Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues of Responsible Clinical Research (*NIH requirement) (1 credit)
• MSCR 594 – Scientific & Grant Writing in Clinical (1 credit)

Additional electives available to those pursuing the “menu” option are the following:

• MSCR 515 – Scientific Communication for Clinical & Translational Science (1 credit)
• MSCR 596 – Data Management in R (2 credits)
• MSCR 510 – Translation & Implementation Science (2 credits)
Applicants may also include other electives/coursework that will benefit their clinical and translational research training.
