Georgia CTSA’s AppHatchery Co-Develops Digital Heart Health Tool for Young Women

Driven by her mission to inspire young people to focus on their health earlier, Holly Gooding, MD, MSc, Associate Professor, Pediatrics, Emory SOM, and Adolescent Medicine Physician, Children’s, saw the need for young women to understand their heart disease risk. Partnering with Dr. Gooding, Santiago Arconada Alvarez, MS, Co-Director, Georgia CTSA AppHatchery, led students from Georgia Tech’s MS-HCI program who were skilled in the development of web-based tools in creating HerHeart, a digital tool to educate young women.
